1.) Hardware arrival
All electrical hardware components are inhouse & inspected & ready for assembly
All mechanical hardware is also inhouse & inspected, apart from the main injection housing (details next point)
2.) Injection parts
All injection steel moulds are finished
3 of 5 GeckoWiper injection plastic parts are available for sample approval & geometrical tolerance / shrinkage check. Currently matt mould surface treatment is added
The GeckoWiper plastic housing, coming with a complex steel mould, will provide plastic approval samples by end of the upcoming week.
3.) Mass production of electronics, performance test stand
All electronics, PCBA are manufactured & programmed & tested on dedicated test stand
The test stand is part of quality approval prior assembly into the GeckoWiper mechanics.
4.) Certification
GeckoWiper has successfully passed all required certifications and is now officially compliant with FCC, CE, IC, ROHS, and REACH standards, ensuring global acceptance.
A Peek Behind the Scenes: Achieving this milestone required multiple GeckoWiper to prepare & submit for dismount & even destructive testing. The journey came with a 30-page documentation for submission needs, exchanging over 80 emails, and dedicating two months of work. But we did it—and it’s all thanks to your incredible support that made this journey possible.
5.) Summary
Certification: finished
Sourcing finished, part based incoming inspection finished & parts inhouse for assembly
Injection parts: Last GeckoWiper plastic injection housing to receive next week. Updating for injection mold from the 3D print design proved to be more complex than anticipated, but it’s now complete & mould finished for sample release.
Assembly Line: Set to begin in early February, with the goal of releasing and shipping all 300 units worldwide by the end of February.
